Why directly download in temporay folder?

Hi:

Today I find that when I try to download a file (.mpg extension) in IE 6 it starts download in Temporay folder. It's doesn't ask me to choose any folder. Is there any way that it ask me to choose folder first?

Hello rsdn =)

Open My Computer, Tools>Folder options>File Types
choose MPG and click on Advanced button
and Tick Confirm Open After Download
apply and do the same for MPEG extension
Now check if same issue ??

Rana,

Does it download the file to a temp folder and after it completes the download, does it move or ask you where to put the file ?

If still same, then you can try deleting your internet cache and then check ??
BTW before this started, were movie files use to of open in WMP or were they asking the Open Save question ??
