Master Details page set across frameset - How?

Hello.

I am trying to create a page consisting of 2 dynamic frames, connected to a database and would like 1 frame(main) to display a list of records (Details page) and another frame (right) to display just one or 2 records from the recordset (Master page). I would like these both to appear on the same page, so that the user could scroll down, quickly viewing all records in the right frame (Master page), and then click on one he/she was interested in viewing, and have it displayed (as the details page) on the main frame in the frame set. The Masters page (right frame) would remain the same, and not become the details page, but would just open it, in the main frame.

I'm terrible at explaining simple things. Basically a list of names on the right frame connected to profiles in the main frame (using the Master/Detail process)

I have created a simple master/detail page (using the php server model) which works fine, but can't get it to open in a frame set as explained above. Right now, it just works in the sense that the Master page becomes the Details page when a record is selected.

Any advice / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Adam

hi ..

the most likely problem is that u havent give a target to load the link page.

try like this

<a href="feedback.html" target="rightframe"> Feedback</a>

here rightframe is the name of the frame in the frameset.

here the feedback.html will load in the frame named rightframe.

hope this helps
