DHCP Database error

When I try to add reservations to the dhcp server I get "Jet Database error -524 (cannot backup database), see event log ".  I have uninstalled the service and deleted old registry settings, several times.   I have been able to add as many as 20 reservations before receiving this error, sometimes I can’t add one.   I have reinstalled the Windows Server as upgrade thinking it was a corrupt system file, but the problem still persists.   The only other thing I can think of if there is an ODBC or Jet database setting that needs to be fixed, but I don’t know where to look.

ANY input would be greatly appreciated,
Sean

Can you post the actual event viewer error?

It seems like your DHCP database is corrupted. You need to restore the file dhcp.mdb from the following directory -  'c:\winnt\system32\dhcp\backup\jet\new' to 'c:\winnt\system32\dhcp'.
You need to stop dhcp service and move all the files but not the 'backup' directory from 'c:\winnt\system32\dhcp' direcotory to somewhere else before you restore the file.
