OUTLOOK.exe has generated errors

Running Win2K w/ SP4.  

When opening Oulook 2000 I recieve this error:
OUTLOOK.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.  You will need to restart the program.  An error log is being created.  

I am however able to get in through the /safe mode in Outlook

These are the things I have done to fix this problem:

In safe mode I disabled all add ins and coms
Deleted all the contacts, messages in inbox, deleted, sent, etc.
Removed the mail account, reconfigured the account
Installed all new patches for Office 2K
Scanned for Viruses, scanned for Ad/spy ware, it is clean
Uninstalled and reinstalled Office
Followed all the steps on Microsoft Support
Tried everything listed under this post

All other applications work fine.  I am at a complete loss.  Any other suggestions?

Hi voltztron,

Can you try this
close OL
go to control panel > mail > show profiles
create a new profile
select the option there which says something like "prompt me ..."
that would prompt you to choose profile when you open OL

now open OL
choose the newly created profile
now check what happens

Also temporarily close Anti-virus, firewall while opening outlook

I disabled anti-virus, still no good.

When I go to mail under control panel I don't get a show profiles option.  When I open mail under control panel I only see Internet Accounts and a tab for Mail.

I am on a domain server, so I don't know if that is a part of the problem.

so you donot have any data inside your outlook now ?
Going to safe mode , try to go to file > new and create a new PST file

close outlook, go inside again and see if you can open in normal mode fine .

Also going inside outlook , do a "detect and repair" going to Help menu

Yes, OL is empty.  I tried the new PST, still nothing.  

I already tried the detect and repair earlier, still no good.  

Do you have any email account set in your outlook and if yes, what account ?

can you delete that account and see how it goes ?

If you have oultook icon in your desktop, can you right-click it and go to properties to see if you can get inside "show profiles" ?

There is no account set up in OL, I deleted it.

When I right click the icon and go to properties, I get the same thing as under control panel.  I can not get to the show profiles, only the Mail tab.

What mode of OL 2000 you have ?
can you check this

and see if you can create a new profile

I ended up deleting the user account on the domain server and created a new one.  There was obviously some setting in that user profile that was causing the problem.  I was able to log onto that computer under any other user and access OL.  I had to move the users documents and settings, and reconfigure OL but it is now working.
