FDF file will not open in Mozilla FireBird 1.0

This works in Internet Explorer 6 for Windows, but not in Mozilla FireBird 1.0:

http://www.windsorcap.com/store/fdf/1100444677.fdf

It should load Acrobat Reader and display a PDF page. I need to know how to change this FDF file so that it works in Mozilla, IE, and Opera.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Reinstall Acrobat Reader,  Then the necessary plugin detection should happen for the browsers.

The web server hosting that file is serving the page with a mime type of 'text/plain', which is causing mozilla to display it (correctly) as text. IE is less fussy and is probably working out the type from the extension (which, ironically, is technically wrong.)

You need to get the web server to serve the correct mime type, which in this case is /probably/ 'application/x-pdf'. (although that's just a guess.)

I've just had a quick read of:-

http://www.mail-archive.com/perl-win32-web@listserv.activestate.com/msg01165.html

and they reckon it should be 'application/vnd.fdf' for the mime type.

Hope that helps.

None of the posted comments has worked for me... I'd like to know if my points can be refunded. Ultimately, what I did was to create the PDF dynamically using FPdf.
