Can't cd in cmd.exe to more than 8 characters, i.e. can only cd c:\Progra~1 and not c:\Program Files\etc. <br />

C:\&gt;cd Program Files<br />
Too many parameters - Files<br />
I've Tried<br />
C:\&gt;cd &quot;Program Files&quot;<br />
Parameter format not correct - &nbsp;&quot;Program<br />

I can only do a<br />
C:\&gt;cd Progra~1<br />
<br />
C:\PROGRA~1&gt;<br />

Please help as this is doing my head in!<br />

C:\>cd Program Files
Too many parameters - Files
I've Tried
C:\>cd "Program Files"
Parameter format not correct -  "Program

I can only do a
C:\>cd Progra~1

C:\PROGRA~1>

Please help as this is doing my head in!
