browser compatibility and screen resolution - flexible web pages - window resizing.

Hi,
I am new at this. I would like to know in detail what code to use, how and where to
insert it in order for web pages to fit the screen of most users computers and also
browser compatibility. I have used 800x600 and the % feature to design most sites.
However, I am still having problems with 1024x768, 1280x800 and others.
I have seen sites that appeared to have solved this problem.
I need help!.

There is no one size fits all solution. Each web page is unique.  There are general design principles but it comes down to applying the right bits at a detail level.

The type of cross-resolution handling you are looking for is described in some detail here:

If you have a page with specific problems that need to be resolved please post a link to it, or the code.

If someone finds that code be sure to pass it along to me, I fight that same problem daily!
