"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Chances are this is a problem with the backup, however it could be related to a database problem. Try running a restore by media since it does not use the database. If you want to restore a specific file or directory then use a filter.

If dovimichel's answer doesn't help, you can try merging the tapes before restoring, but I do believe his answer is probably correct.
