Windows 2000 and 2003 server in same domain

Simple question.  We have 2 windows 2000 servers, I want to add a Windows 2003 server as just a member server into the domain.  There isnt any reason why I cannot do this is there.  Just being cautious as its the first time we will have used 2003

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

so you want to join a windows 2003 to act as a server?  During installation of win 2003, just dont make it a domain controller. Make it as a server. you will be prompted for your domain username and password.
it's no problem to add a member server
only if you want to make it a domain controller you have to run 2 utilities (upgrade schema and domain, as I remember)
