Remote Access Config query

Have experience of setting up RAS on server where modems are directly attached however I am struggling with the below setup.
Users dial up to a Cisco 3660 switch. I am trying to configure one of our W2K3 servers to authenticate.
Have pointed the Switch to the W2K3 server but am not too sure what authentication if any I have to implement. Can I just point it to the server and let the server authenticate or do I have to use radius which I believe is the only one it can do with a Windows server. It is currently set up for Windows Auth & Accounting. Users get a 691 error when dialling.
If radius needed can any one point me in the direction to set up radius on Windoes Svr as not done before.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you want Windows 2003 to manage the logons, create a pass-through IP on the Cisco to the Windows 2003 server.  Then, set up RADIUS on the 2003 server to accept VPN connections.  I would think that is the easiest solution so that usernames and passwords are all managed from one place, but it is more of a security risk.  If you're comfortable that your server is adequately locked down, then do it.  Instructions for this procedure are in the link below:
