Cannot create a new connection

After installing SP2 , all the dial-up network connections went missing. So I tried to re-input and got this error message...<<< Unable to create the specified connection. This can be caused by insufficient memory or not enough disk space ..>>>. Check my disk space and it shows 1.7 GB.
Please help...

I suspect a dialer hijack or restrictive ISP software
Uninstall SP2
Check for viruses
Check for trojans with Adaware from http://lavasoft.de and/or Spybot from http://security.kolla.de
Resolve problems found above
Check that IE's Internet Connection Wizard works
If not
  Disconnect from the network
Put in your XP CD and at a command prompt type SFC /scannow
  and reboot
If you have an Intel nic, update the driver and proset software
Check that IE's Internet Connection Wizard works
If not reinstall IE6 SP1
Check that IE's Internet Connection Wizard works
If it is working, reinstall SP2 and see if connectivity works again.

I wrongly install the beta version of SP2. Therefore I'm going to uninstall XP SP2 and revert back to the original OS.

Thanks and cheers...
