I'm looking to create a RAID 0+1, 4 drives + 1 spare.  (all identical drives, IDE highpoint rocketraid 404, 4channels)

What would be an ideal stripe size, the general use of the storage is as a file server(~5MB files), and also storing cd images(~700MB), and ghost images/backups of system drive (~30GB).

64K element size which gives a stripe size of 128K will be about optimum.
