I think this is the correct code.  It is the header for the implode.h

unsigned int implode(
   unsigned int (*read_buf)(char *buf, unsigned int *size, void *param),
   void         (*write_buf)(char *buf, unsigned int *size, void *param),
   char         *work_buf,
   void         *param,
   unsigned int *type,
   unsigned int *dsize);

unsigned int explode(
   unsigned int (*read_buf)(char *buf, unsigned  int *size, void *param),
   void         (*write_buf)(char *buf, unsigned  int *size, void *param),
   char         *work_buf,
   void         *param);

Actually I read some of the other postings and found a freeware dll and visual basic 6 code for zipping a file.  The dll is called Info-ZIP for anyone interested.
