Need code sample for product variant display list in Commerce Server 2002 Retail2002 site

I'm using Commerce Server 2002 Retail2002 as a basis for a new ecommerce site. Presently the site displays a productDetails page that allows selection of a product variant through a drop down box. I'm looking for a code sample (preferably one that modified productList.aspx), which displays multiple products on a page with product variants listed below each product.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi,

just a suggestion.. Commerce Server 2002 is dated, its bloated software, and you need a "server" operating system to develop on it.  Why not use the free Commerce Starter Kit from http://www.asp.net ?
If you want another .NET alternative, take a look at http://www.bvcommerce.com .

what you are asking is more of an ASP.NET issue than Commerce 2002  issue.

I worked on Retail2002 about a year and half ago and it was the most miserable experience I have ever had working with a microsoft product. I had to load 20,000 products via xml into their activex product manager.. it was slow and painfull - but its what the client wanted to use because they felt that because since it was microsoft and it was expensive that it had to be the best.

Im sorry if I am sounding negative but its just from my personal  experience, maybe another person in experts-exchange will have a different opinion.

good luck.

Thanks for your comments -- they certain make me pause to consider whether or not I should use Retail2002.  I have developed many sites using the asp retail solution site on commerce server and my biggest complain, like yours, is how bloated it is.  Have you tried the Fourth Coffee site? If so do you have the same thoughts?

No I have not tried the Fourth Coffee site.  After  the retail2002 project, my next ecommerce project was based off the BVCommerce shopping cart, and my clients requested me to place multiple variants per product (like your request) with qty and price for each variant, which was very easy to modify (they purchased the source). They were happy with the solution.
