Problem displaying some images internet Explorer

I have just noticed that some advert banners etc have dissappeared from my Outlook 2000 and also Internet Explorer.  When I plug my laptop in everything is OK but when I visit the same sites on my desktop they are just missing.

It does not happen on all sites.  for example here at expert exchange I can see add panels to the right, but at www.ecademy.com I cant see any of the ads.

This is annoying (??) because I can't check my own advertising on some of these sites.

I'm using Windows 2000, Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.  I can't recall changing any settings!

Can anyone tell me how to restore these images back please?

Regards

Is this at home or at work?

Hi jvuz,

At work I canvisit the sites in question and see all the adds.  I can do the same on my laptop connected to the internet either at work or to my network at home, but not on desktop machine.

I could bring my desktop to work and see what happens, but its rather big.

Does that help at all?
