Does anyone know of a browser based call logging system where I can record a name, location, description, and options of a solution etc.

I also need a good easy to use and simple knowledge base system.

PHP would be best. And anything free aswell.

Cheers!

Magic Total Service Desk

We have been using it for 2 years now.
Eventhough I myself am not a big supporter of webapplications this one works very good.
Includes knowledgebase search and is extremely flexible. So whatever field you wish to include you can. Can work on allmost a type of databases (sql, sybase, oracle, etc...)

Hello,

In my humble opinion, try the Liberum Helpdesk. It's available from http://www.liberum.org/ and has many users developing it. It's pretty good, expandable and free. It's not written in PHP though.

Hope this helps

The magic total service desk and liberum helpdesk look good but im now after something free.

Is there something like the total service helpdesk with a knowledge base and case logging system that is also free to use?

I think you have to contact with them for demo or further information like price.

Please also check this long list where you will find both free and commercial helpdesk with features like knowledge & so on :

I have found PHPLOG. http://www.m3ta.co.uk/log/log.php

Try it youself. login is admin and admin.

I think I will settle with this and modify it a bit unless someone can suggest something with a few more options?

George,

Would you mind sharing with the community what you have decided to go with?  I have been watching this topic since you started it, and am curious as to what the outcome is going to be.  Also, the Mod may like to "PAQ" this question and refund your points - as others that have the same question in the future may find this thread helpful.

Hi Jonny,

I will maybe leave it open for a bit more or do a point split I still havent fully decided. I'm not bothered about a point refund as I have an unlimited ammount. And I agree that deleteing it will not serve others who are searching for a knowledge base system.

I think I will go with PHPLOG. http://www.m3ta.co.uk/log/log.php and modify it slightly for my call logging system.

I still havent found a good knowledge base system yet...

I did not find what I was looking for and as such i consider the question still in an open form.

Anyway since I have had no more suggestions I think the question should be closed by not deleted.

As far as points whatever go I'd be happy with a point reduction (250) and split or refund.

You'll need to post that request in community support as only Moderators can make that adjustment.  Just post a (free) question in Community Support TA with a link back to this question, asking for a reduction to 250 points.
