want to set right the proper way

ok , on my D drive i remove the default shares and i set a share to administrator and everyone
everyone in permission i select  change  + read
and in security  read & execute, list content, read

i dont want my user to be able to create foder or file on  root of D drive, when i am set this way and if i try to create a folder, as a user, i receive message that i can not create folder i need to check if my disk is lock or if i have the permission, so far it is good but after clicking the OK button the folder is create and the name , new folder is in bleue i juste need to press enter and the folder is there with the name new folder.

i found that if i remove in share  read & execute, then i can not create anything, the probleme is that i still can not create anything in subfolder wich i give the user the right to create (in security (NTFS))

any solution to this issue,  most be a dum thing.

thanks

it's something wrong in your exemple;
in a situation like you've described, you should receive access denied error message

to walk down folders, only "list contents" right is needed.
just do not give them any other rights on the top level folder in NTFS permissions.

wehe   i dont quite understand what you mean

in what i explain,  in the 2 situation i got an error box  saying access denied but the are not the same box , when i remove from share (change) i got a box saying, impossible to create folder   with a yellow !

in the other i got a box saying impossible to rename ... acess denied    with a red X     in this case i can create a folder but not rename it.

i dont want my user to able to create or rename on the root of D i want them to be able to do anything inside there own folder.
