"Recovering lost files and restoting computer graphics"

Mistakenly deleted much of  working windows capablities, cannot access Word, Excel, get system32 error messages, no.dll found messages, etc. Initial error message reads: CLIENT 32 Cannot Open write pipe (is GDIHook installed?)(2).
Anyway to recover lost files (including 4 years of personal files created on print shop, word, excel, powerpoint, etc). Stupid is as stupid does...no back-up and no administrative rights to access certain files (computing staff here lax in answering problem so far). Help! Please.
