westell 2200 dsl modem

Hi everyone,

I need help with a wireless connection problem,  I'm having a difficult time trying to connect a Dell Laptop 1450 w/ a built in wireless card to a Dell desktop Inspiron 1150, using a Linksys router WRT 546 through westell 2200 dsl modem. It seems to connect but when I open IE there's no page available. Help..

Thanks,

Manny

HoweverCommaCommented:
open a CMD window (Start -> Run -> CMD <enter>)
type ipconfig /all <Enter>
Do you have anything in your DNS servers?

now try to ping a known ip address
ping 129.6.15.28 <enter>   (This is a NIST time server)

If you get a reply then you likely have a dns issue.

You can still use DHCP to get an address and manually enter DNS servers in the TCP/IP properties of your wireless lan connection.
