How to validate Min and Max number of character in ASP.NET

  I have a text box where i need to validate the min and max number of numeric characters in Example : i need to validate min number of  Characters to be entered is 1 and Max number of characters to be entered is 6 how to validate this using regularexpression valdation or any valdation control to valid this.

 Suggest me how to proceed with this or give me some sample example which would help to proceed
