Yes. I believe that pre-OS X there were differences, but insofar I haven't seen any differences between the CDs for systems in OS X, except for software that came with your computer. For example, if you had WorldBook on your computer, the new OS X from another system won't have that. I believe, however, that is the case if you use the same OS X from the same computer. So, anytime you reinstall OS X, it should be the same regardless of the CD the system came from.<br />

Mac OS X 10.3 iBook

Mac OS X is the desktop operating system from Apple Inc., found on Macintosh computers. OS X consists of a Mach/BSD-based kernel, operating system interfaces primarily based on FreeBSD and additional frameworks (written in C, C++ and Objective-C providing user interface and application-level services.
