can i run eDonkey on my Private Network ?

i tried but failed to connect to eDonkey.. i have seen the place to put the proxy theere .. but it was diabled !!! ?

This most likely depends on how the firewall is configured on the network.  If it is setup to not allow the ports that eDonkey uses out then you won't be able to connect.  I would talk to your network administrator (unless you are that person) and find out if those ports are blocked.  The company may have a policy that those types of applications are not to be run on company equipment.

yes .. i am the admin .. but i didn't block those ports ! ..

Are you able to connect with a lowid or not connect at all?

What OS are you using?

What version of eDonkey?

Have you read this:

Have you tried eMule instead?
