Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from XXX.jar

Hey.
I have just installed jdk 1.5 and now I am getting the above error when I try to open ANY *.jar file!

any ideas?

I'm not sure what your problem is but maybe some of my suggestions can help :

Uninstall any jdk and jre from your add/remove program except for the jdk 1.5 and the jvm 1.5
try running some jar file. If still did not work try re-installing the jdk 1.5

In any case you can re-run it from the command line using :
java -jar Yourjar.jar

Or try recompiling the jar and run it.

What was your previous JDK level?
I presume your manifest files are in a very old style.
Upgrading from 1.3 to 1.5 with 'healthy' manifests is no problem at all.

Hey
I found the problem- I am embrassed to say what it was......
When I installed jdk1.5 my default program to open JAR files changed to acrobat reader! Not sure how I missed that.
