Unwanted blank space at the top of some pages

The pages in question are everything but the index page on:

http://www.kittytours.org/mutualfunds/

Clicking on any link will take you to an ASP-generated page that shows off a big ugly white gap at the top.

The only page that isn't misbehaving is the index.html page.

Since the three ugly pages were all cloned from the same source, I assume I copied the same mistake over and over and over.

I've checked all my tags and I've matched up all my TDs and /TDs and TRs and /TRs and I can't find the problem.

Help before I go blind...or crazy...or both.

Many many thanks in advance.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

try set the page margin ?

Top set it "No blank space", try

change body tag to:

<BODY BGCOLOR="#ffffff" topmargin="0">

if you also want to take out the "blank space" on the left, try:

<BODY BGCOLOR="#ffffff" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0">

Hope this helps

Dangles, it didn't work.  Any other ideas?

The misbehaving pages are ASP.

Browsing (if you can call reading literally hundreds of PAQs for four hours anything as benign as "browsing") through similar reported complaints, I saw that some people's ugly white spaces were due to misplaced or not-closed tags.

Does that help?

Thanks for the effort so far.

seems that your showprojects.asp table's got some problem, why dont you re-do the table template on showprojects.asp, as you can copy the table template from index.html ?

It works for me now.. like:

Hi Kitty,

Your basic code looks like this, which has an unterminated table structure

<body>
<table width="100%">
      <tr>
            <td class="left" width="10%"><img src="SEClogo.gif"></td>
            <td class="top" width="90%" align="right"></td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
            <br><br>
            <td class="left" valign="top" rowspan="2"></td>
            <td class="center" valign="top">

</table>

<br>
</body>

You need this:

<body>
<table width="100%">
      <tr>
            <td class="left" width="10%"><img src="SEClogo.gif"></td>
            <td class="top" width="90%" align="right"></td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
            <!-- remove these -->
            <!-- <br><br> -->
            <td class="left" valign="top" rowspan="2"></td>
            <td class="center" valign="top">

            <!-- add these -->
            </td>
      </tr>
</table>

<!-- remove this -->
<!-- <br> -->

</body>
</html>

Thanks,
