Norton Syst. Wrks. 2004:  Email Scanning Error.  Cannot find a way to fix this

My computer is running Windows XP-Pro.  I have Norton System Works 2004 installed.
The NSW menu shows several buttons, one of which is Norton AntiVirus.  Within the Norton Anti-Virus menu is a choice of "status".  Within this menu there is a section: "Security Scanning Features".  The second item, "Email Scanning "Error" next to it.  There isn't anything I have found that can repair or fix the error.
What do I do to fix this?

The URL led me to just uninstall and reinstall Norton System Works.
    That fixed the problem.
