"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

J2EE is a standard. Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) defines the standard for developing component-based multitier enterprise applications. Features include Web services support and development tools (SDK).

To run jsp pages you need a container like tomcat,jboss....

Hey Komlaa :-)

In other words, you don't need J2EE is you already have J2SE, and Tomcat installed (which I know you do) ;-)

Sajuks link should explain what J2EE is for, etc..
