allow branch office to access mail service only thru vpn

Is it possible to setup a vpn connection between a main office and a branch office such that the branch ofice can only access the mail service (Exchange server). Also, the main office should be able to view the network of the branch office. The VPN link will be using Watchguard Fireboxes.

Hi edwinskh,
Yes it should be possible. All you need to do is configure the firewall at the remote office with the following basic rules:-
1) Permit remote office to connect to mail server.
2) Deny remote office to connect to main office.
3) Permit everything else.

Thank you. I'll try out when I setup the VPN. I'll probably try to set up the access restrictions all at the main office firewall
