I have a database and its going to have a excel spreadsheet attached to the forms, when the user double click on the attachment is there any way to force them to open the spreadsheet in edit mode. Basically a way to disable the open and view buttons.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. How would i use the form launch property? And can i launch it so that any changes are saved back to the attachment and not saved into a temp file on the c drive?
If it is a ole object you can get the updates back to the doc.. With attachment you can't .. But there is a script in sandbox which will do this.. You have to write it in a button and user has to select that button to launch, edit and save back.
