I did not see your anwser previously and found the problem : i was opening the adapter before any operation and it seems like opening too often caused the crash.<br />
<br />
However the next question i asked, i did not find the answer yet : i cannot manage to set the wep key.<br />

When i set the BSSID (.NET C#) on Windows XP the computer crashed with the blue screen with a strange error code : Driver IRQ problem (not the exact message)<br />

setting BSSID crashed Windows XP !
