Printing issues with Windows 2003

Domain users unable to print to Windows 2003 shared printer.

I have rebuild server from scratch nothing much is configured, everything is default.

This is the event that we getting:

The document Test Page owned by wilmingtont failed to print on printer wil-it-hp4050. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 3003. A StartDocPrinter call was not issued.

I have found this article. but it is for windows2000 http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=824339

If I add domain users to local administrators group they print fine.

Please help.

Thanks

Have you checked the NTFS permissions on the printer to make sure the appropriate people have rights? Is there a password on the share?

Also if I send the document from domain user it sits in the queue with error: Error-Printing

open start -> settings -> printer.
right click the printer -> properties -> Share

how is the printer connected?

itamtAuthor Commented:
All printers connected via network, there is about 40 printers.

open start -> settings -> printer.
right click the printer -> properties -> Share
Printer is shared and checkmark is checked to List printer in Directory.

All those printers are HP, and we used HP Network Printer Wizard to install them.

i am afraid, the server is using HP TCP Ports for printing.
this ports had allways problems on any of our servers.
try to install the printer on a "Standard TCPIP Port" and look, if it's better then.

Everything worked properly on TCP ports.

I would also like to add...

Adding the network printer as a local printer to the server via a standard TCP/IP port worked like a charm.  Thanks!
