Can the Router do this

I have a linksys DSL router attached to the DSL modem to acess the internet.  When I go to my DSL providers web page to check my dsl speed I am unable to do this because of the Firewall on the router.  Is there a way i can put information into this router to allow me to do this check from my DSL's web page.  I want to be able to do a DSL speed check from the Web page of my DSL provider.

For the record it works even though my firewall rejects ping requests.  I never saw that one not work because of a firewall, and I used it alot.

Away for a few days sorry for my quiteness.  Yes i was able to disconnect the firewall... however, I was still unable to check the speeds.  The speed page just sits there with no results.  However, it did work on another system at another location.  Therefore, I must assume there is something else not allowing this page to do its job.  Could it be in internet securties.  Just asking?

Are you running windows xp sp2?

If so a little bar comes up under the address bar where you can allow activex / java apps to run.

That may be your problem.
