Does anyone have a sample VC++ .Net project?

I am porting a large C++ Unix system into VC++ (.Net). I would
like to know how a VC++ is structured, for example, how
to access to sqlserver db,  how to make log files, in a good way.
Thanks in advnace.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing.
