touch screen, or building/lobby directory applications

I would like to know if there are some touch screen, building/lobby directory applications?

What happens is that I need to install a touch screen building directory machine at the lobby of our company building.

For hardware side:
I can buy a tablet PC or some kind of touchscren hardware.

For software side:
I would like to get a ready-to-go application (most likely a Database). Anyone knows one?

Regards,
smallbee

i would just get a touch screen and use outlook as the directory look up. if you have any programming experience or can get someone to write you a quick database app then that would be best. but for quick and dirty solution, using outlook you can create a contact section where people can use to look up directory names.

like i said if you are not a programmer then i would just setup a computer with a touch screen and use outlook as the directory lookup. you can setup a contact list and enter the information of the people. then have it displayed in the lobby and users can browse through and search the directory using outlooks built in search feature.
