    i still don't understand your problem so i'll pass on this one, and let fixitben and the others sort you out.
    i've read and re-read your posts *blonde moment* - also your page has been blocked by my system administrator.
    go figure.
    good luck.

    Accepted Solution

    1. menu was hardcoding the keyword "_root", making it unusable when loaded in a movieclip. This is a corrected version:
    2. select "prodmenu" movieclip in your index movie, open Action panel, and delete the code:

    on (release) {

    this should be only on "products" button inside the bottom menu

    Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm using MX. The fla won't open, wrong format.

    Could you please post it again?

    Thanks for the help thus far.

    I'll let you know how it goes.

    that works, thanks. My other problem is that I need it to appear (positioned) were the xml scroller is once products is clicked...

    not up in the left hand corner. I don't understand why that's happening because, in menu.fla, I have moved it to the appropriate area on the stage?

    Thanks for the prompt help thus far.

    Hello again,

    I'm having a problem positioning the menu on the stage. It doesn't appear where I put it when I publish and open it in the player. Could someone please tell me what's going on here? Negatyve?
