Need feedback from those with advergaming experience

Hi, thanks in advance for your help. I am currently helping out at indy game company and am looking into advergaming as a way to generate some revenue. I was wondering if anyone wouldn't mind sharing their experiences and recommendations for how to approach this activity. Thanks very much.

- like a website, usually not worth it unless you'll have lots of 'views'.
- and if you have lots of 'views' anyway, those hopefully translate into purchases. ;)

There are many players turned off by advergaming -- they might accept it from big-name titles and companies, but I'd be concerned it could be the kiss of death for an indy.  Focus on making a great game first and foremost -- if it sells, you don't need ads in the first place. ;)
