Hi,

I guess something went wrong with the installation.. I would say try to reïnstall the latest SP and see if that fixes anything..

I dont think anything is wrong with the installation. (I've re-installed twice). It is a language problem. I think it is trying to send the NDR's in Greek. This computer is a front-end for a clustered exchange server 2003 backend. I have tried to find any references on how to set language properties for the SMTP component but no luck. Is there a way of setting language properties either in exchange or SMTP?????

Hi,

I always thought that the NDR reports have the same language as the version of Exchange you installed. I don't think you can change the NDR (not the language, not the text) but i will try to find anything on it...

And this links also says that you cannot change the NDR text yourself.. Maybe you can find it in the specified file..

The thing is i dont want to edit the text. Just make the report readable. It somehow corrupting the text.

I guess your best buy is to make a phone call to Microsoft, because i only see a lot of "don't touch the NDR's"..

The ??? is usually unicode non-unicode conversion thing. How can the text get destroyed???

rhandelsCommented:
No idea... Normally i should say some sort of corruption, but you allready did a reïnstall.. And you have the English Windows and Exchange version... So i'm quite lost in this one..

The language that NDR's are returned is set by regional settings or by SMPT language??? I have this impression that NDR's are returned in greek because the backend was installed first and its regional settings were greek.

I thought it was done by SMTP and Exchange language settings... Still, i guess the regional settings, when changed to English, should change the NDR language...
