Netresource networkneighborhood how to handle DELAY visual basic 6

Using netresource to add network neighborhood like functionality in my app but as it always has been network n. has major delays upon expaning the plus signs...what is the best way to handle this?

also some computers are not showing all XP ghost imaged machines on 2000 clustered domain.
While there is no real "best" way, the one I would choose is using a COM DLL written in VC++ so that I could safely do the work on a worker thread and not block the GUI thread.  VB6 is not capable of safely handeling multiple threads safely.  I know you perfered a pure VB solution, but it truely is a limitation of VB.

hmmm maybe a "please wait" on the onclick event?  It always comes out of the delay it just takes 5 10 seconds if any at all
