Printer inop

Have a Compaq Presario with Windows 2000 OS, and trying to get my original printer (IJ750) to install, but it wont. Messages are "Lack of disk space on the target drive". I have a 12 gig HD and its showing 77% or 8 gig left available. Have checked the Compaq website and there are not any updates available except fot a Windows 95 or 98 installation for drivers. I have the original Compaq Restore disks, but didnt want to go back in time if I didnt have to.Have also tried the installation disk for the IJ 750 printer and it keeps coming up with "lack of disk space on the target drive".  What could be wrong???

Your printer appears to be a Compaq line of the Lexmark Z31

You can get other drivers a the link below but I suspect these are Lexmark drivers

it is a rebadged Lexmark. however i thought it was a 3200 anyhow here is the link to the driver for the 3200
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgiccs=229:1:0:19:0:0&emeaframe=&target=http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi&target=http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi&&req=:::::

what you may have to do is wade through the lexmark driver site looking at the images of he printers to correctly identify your printer.

i believe the issue you are having with your current driver is the installation for it is poorley written and there is a error generating in the code that is being incorrectly handled as insufficient disk space.

hope this helps
