VB6 & RDC for French Deployment still showing in English
The problem: a CR 9 RDC (CRViewer) application packaged with the French Merge Modules still shows up in English rather than French (toolbar text, etc.) even when the Windows Regional Options are set to French (Canada) or French (France).
I packaged the application to an msi file using the proper Merge Modules:
license_fr.msm
maping_fr.msm
rdcruntime_fr.msm
reportengine_fr.msm
I'm looking for an answer from someone who actually deployed an RDC-based application to a PC with a regional setting other than English and was successful in seeing the other language in the viewer toolabr text and message boxes. What did you have to do in order to get the foreign language? For example, was it necessary to actually develop the application using the non-english version of Crystal?
Cheers,

Thanks for the quick response! I've seen/heard similar information as well as information to the contrary. That's why I'm looking for a 1st-hand experience with this issue.

The last footnote refers to the language editions and says some components may be provided in English

Thanks, this is indeed interesting.
I'll wait a while to see if anyone can provide 1st-hand experience. If no one comes forward, you get the points -- even though you seem to suffer from a severe case of PO (points overdose)... :o)

OK, I can't seem to get a clear confirmation, but I assume the issue is the text contained in one of the links provided by mlmcc:
"Localized versions of CR are not supported on an English OS. Localized versions include Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, French, German and Chinese."
This would mean that it's not enough to change the regional settings - you actually need to run a non-English OS.
Thanks,
