Color Printing Problem

I have an HP 720C Deskjet printer. It does not print satisfactorily in color. I've tried two color cartridges. When I print the color test sheet with one cartridge, after cleaning it, the yellow is missing. When I print the color test sheet with the other cartridge, after cleaning it, the green and yellow are missing. The printer is about six years old. Any suggestions as to what the problem is.

you can try cleaning the cartridges with a cloth with water; you can also look for dust and or debris in the cartridge contact area.
If this does not help, i would say it is a mainboard problem, and you should think about a replacement.
