Hi,

My configuration is PHP 4.3.3., phpMyAdmin 2.5.3 and Apache 1.3.24.
I'm trying to use temporary tables.

It seems there is no issue when i create the table (no error message), but i can see the table within phpMyAdmin.

What can i do with PHP in order to create a temporary table, to read in it ?

TIA

You will not be able to read a temporary table within phpmyadmin as the temporary table only exists as long as the connection to the mysql-server is opend. As phpmyadmin closes the connection to the server after each request (getting a html-page from the webserver) the temporary table is destroyed. See
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/CREATE_TABLE.html :
From MySQL 3.23 on, you can use the TEMPORARY keyword when creating a table. A TEMPORARY table is visible only to the current connection, and is dropped automatically when the connection is closed. This means that two different connections can use the same temporary table name without conflicting with each other or with an existing non-TEMPORARY table of the same name. (The existing table is hidden until the temporary table is dropped.) From MySQL 4.0.2 on, you must have the CREATE TEMPORARY TABLES privilege to be able to create temporary tables.
