I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There's nothing to cancel - this just does a one-off backup of your database.

If you don't want the backup file this created, then just delete it.

Sounded pretty technical to me. :)

If you want a scheduled backup, by the way, the simplest way is to set up a new database maintenance plan. When you have made one of these, it will appear in Enterprise Manager under Database Maintenance Plans, from where you can delete it. Just in case you need it in the future.
