    Some other thoughts

    a) Something corrupted in your PST file
    b) Something corrupted in your outlook profile

    a) Repair PST :

    b) If a) doesnot help , go to control panel > mail > show profiles and create a new outlook profile. Login to that profile. Import your PST and then check how it goes.
