Ghosting to External HD

I have an external usb1 /2  H.D  (Bought at Harvey Norman in Australia) I don’t have any reference or help site - the only information available is "HD-D5-U2FW"  CEFC written on the box.

I try to image partitions /HD to this external HD by using Ghost 8 -connecting the device to a USB port on a pc and booting the  pc  from a floppy when the ghost screen comes  I choose USB.

The ghost doesn’t recognize the external HD. How can I use it to make images from disk to disk?

I was able to find this:

    Model:HD-D5-U2FW (USB & IEEE1394)

I'll see what else I can find.
