I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

ok.. u try to go
start > run

type regedit.

then try to locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER >
"VIsual C++or VISUAL STUDio"

There will be huge sum of key values. if u could find some which linkes to C:
eg : "

C:\DOCUME~1\bytes00\My Documents\Visual Studio Projects"
^           try to change the value to

"E:\DOCUME~1\bytes00\My Documents\Visual Studio Projects"
^

You can use the drive tool in admin tools or you can use parition magic to change the drive letter assignment and change it back to C: instead of H:
