"Undo" for WebForm! Wow, that's quite ambitious!

As much as I awared, that's no such thing in API. Unless through app/sys design.

Maybe you are refering the "press the Esc key" or like the old HTML "reset" button function? A one-step-back-only undo?

Undo should actually undo only the last performed action.I actually need to build a UI prototype and HAVE to implement this functionality.Any ideas???

Dunno about the degree of your requirements.

As you mentioned "the last performed action", then you need define what's and how to capture/stage what action is considered as last-performed.

In my assumption, you can say by click on a "Save" button, is the check point of the so called last-performed. Hence here you probably need to capture the last stage/state of the data whenever the Save is clicked.

User dododo, Save, your app persist the state.
User dododo, Save, your app persist (overwrite) the state.
User dododo, Undo, your app retrieve the persisted state.
User dododo, Submit, your app commit the whatever

Undo functionality already exists in IE. Try typing something inside <INPUT type="text" /> element or in TEXTAREA element then click Ctrl+Z.
