Typically, most drives are already low level formatted.  Why do you feel you need to do this?

You might be able to download software from the hard drive manufacturer to do a low level format, but this is rarely done by end users on today's ATA/SATA/IDE drives.

Mdern disks do not need to bel low level formatted by the end user; take a look at this:

has a good article their.

What is the year of your drive? This will let us know what information to give you.
So that you do not destroy your drive.
If it is a newer drive that does not require LLF (Low Level Format) then you will
Void your warrenty of this product by doing so.

If it is an older drive this let us know the:
Year
Make/Model of the drive.

And we can point you to the right page to download the oppropriate tools to do the LLF.

LLF is an easy task to do, Nearly 90% of all our drives here at the office.
Are older Maxtor Drives.
We do LLF on them at least 1 time a year.
