SBS 2003: Fixing http://companyweb after SQL installation was done wrong...
Hi All,
My client's SBS 2003 box and domain was working beautifully. A software vendor had to install SQL Server for an app the client purchased. When they installed SQL, the inadvertently chose not to upgrade MSDE and instead installed a new instance of SQL. My company web (and most related processes) have stopped working.
Attempting to load companyweb in the browser produces only the following text: "Cannot connect to the configuration database."
How do I fix this problem without breaking the SQL Server app installed by the software vendor? Can the current SQL Server be used to "run" the msde databases that were running behind the scenes before?
Thanks,
Terry

ASKER
Thanks. I was aware that I can upsize the databases from msde to sql. However, the essential question is, how to resolve the condition described above. Any ideas?
