"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Not I!

I recommend the old fashioned way.  Buy about three PCs with a KVM switch or use virtual server to create the environment.  Buy some Sybex MCSE books and use test software from selftestsoftware.com.

I have done this but the tests are not that easy.  The design corses are hard to pass.  Active driectory design is the bear.

The problem with the Microsoft Tests is not the content but the way they are asked.  they are trying to foil the pretests and they use trick questions which makes it a grammer test as much as a technical test.  Also they would be impossable to convert to another language with the same level of gramatic diffaculty because the interperater might actually just ask the question.

My solution to this is just to have every test 4 hours long and you go in and DO the MCSE and a real person from Microsoft would grade you.

Oh Pete, you have helped me in the past and you are a good guy.  I just had to go there, partly just to hear myself brag about my certs again ;)
