Out of Memory response running Giant Anti Spyware software

Just read in eWeek magazine that Giant Anti Spyware performed best on spyware removal than any other leading product (Spybot, AdAware, etc.).  I tried to run it but it quits with an out of memory response.  I also had just upgraded Win 2000 to sp4.  Is there an issue with sp4 and memory loss?  Has anyone run Giant Anti Spyware?  I used a program called MaxMem to flush physical memory.  At rest it is 58% free.  As soon as I start Giant Anti Spyware it escalates until it gets to only 4,000 files scanned and then it maxes out the memory and quits.

Giant - Uses up a lot of your "Virtual Memory"
In order to correct this.

   Reboot computer in "Either:
Safe Mode   -  Run program from Safe Mode, this way their is not other Memory Hogging
Programs running that can cause memory conflicts with Giant.

Close out of all programs running on your computer.
This includes,
Anti Virus programs
Chat Program - MSN Messenger uses a lot of Memory.
Basically everything that you can stop without causing harm to your computer.

Disconnect from the Internet, (If you disable your Anti Virus)
As some spyware connect to the Internet to transmit information.

Then run Giant.

That is it.
